Hofstade
In Hofstade, CIRCL designed a compact new-build home that focuses on functionality, material expression and living comfort. The home is conceived as a clear and efficient volume, with the customised interior playing a decisive role in the spatial experience and design.
The façade is a combination of facing brick and black thermowood, finished with black exterior joinery. This creates a sleek and timeless whole that contrasts subtly with the green surroundings. Inside, the open-plan kitchen with living room and dining room forms the central living space, complemented by an entrance hall, toilet, two bedrooms, bathroom and storage room. The internal layout is designed to make optimal use of the available space, with customised features that combine functionality and aesthetics.
The interior is characterised by a harmonious mix of wood finishes and fresh colour accents, resulting in a warm yet contemporary character. This home illustrates how compact living, refined detailing and attention to the use of materials can come together in a well-thought-out and comfortable whole.
